Thanks, I love those large tributes many small towns put up. My grandmother's birthplace, Neilsville, Wisconsin, has a huge dairy cow gazing down on passerbys. I always wonder what the motivation for these are, often they seem to relate to a local product but sometimes they just seem to be there for fun.

We bought a smaller version for my oldest daughter in August. Put it on her front porch, rang the doorbell, and ran and hid.

It was their wedding anniversary, and we knew she followed a blogger who did the same thing to her husband recently.

The blogger named her chicken/rooster "Beyonce".

When my daughter came to the door, she exclaimed with surprised joy: "My own Beyonce!"...

Only women with our sense of humor would get it...the men in our family were clueless.

I have never claimed NOT to be clueless, but Beyonce? for a rooster?? Great small-town gag, too. People in big cities don't seem to spring this kind of surprise. Thanks for the memories.....
