To start off, I shall list my own avid dislike of Christmas music:
Twelve Days of Christmas - okay I know, it must be against some rule to not like this ditty, but I never remember the proper gift with the corresponding number, except for the partridge, and the golden rings.
Winter Wonderland - ruined it for me when someone came out with Walking Round in Women's Underwear.
Wonderful Christmas Time by Sir Paul - sorry this is just too jumpy/jerky/dumb - and I am tired of it.
Santa Baby - talk about done to a burnt roast and back...
Jingle Cats - or the Jingle Dogs, though I'm kinda partial to the doggies. But cats? Sheesh.
Hard Candy Christmas - Dolly Parton. Sets my teeth on edge with all that syrup

About Trans Siberian Orchstra? Well, it pulled out of the station without me. For some reason, I never connected. Friends are as enthusiastic as you are about them. Me, I keep waiting for a derailment.

And, oddly, something we exercised to this past week. I don't know who sings it, or the name of the song, but the last line is "It's spelled Christmas with a capital C!"
I'm sure there are hundreds of other songs I could have listed, but these are enough to tell you that I enjoy the songs from my childhood, learned at church, sung in close harmony.
I wish caroling was still in fashion!

Personally, I like Jingle Bell Rock, almost every version. Although the opening scene of Lethal Weapon almost ruined it for me.

Okay, I'm probably going somewhere extremely warm for a very long time for this one but the one song that drives me nuts is "Do You Hear What I Hear?"--any version. It really is a beautiful song but when it gets to the part about a "child shivering in the cold, let us bring him silver and gold" all I can think is: silver and gold??? bring the kid a blanket!
My favorite is Silver Bells because my grandmother used to sing it to me--even when it wasn't Christmas.
Anon- yeah, I know. Silver and gold for a hungry cold kid. Nonsensical.
