Time Out

**UPDATE: Been a rocky few days, but Mom is better, and off the ventilator as of about 3:30 PM this afternoon - Sunday. I haven't had an update from the cardiologist, but the pulmonologist says the pneumonia (yes, she had both a heart attack and had pneumonia) is responding to the Rocephin.

Thanks for all the good wishes! Just taking it a day at a time.

I don't usually share too much personal stuff here, but just want folks to know I'll be back posting and answering emails soon, I hope.

My mom had a very major heart attack this past Wednesday, on a ventilator, and right now things are stable, but not terribly great.

Thanks to all of you in advance for your kind thoughts. My blog friends are held just as dear as my "real life" ones, so big hugs to you all and see you soon.

I'll be praying, Pattie! Hope your mom is better soon.

My mom had two heart attacks, two bypass operations and lived to a fine age of 83, never slowing down one minute! The doctors can do amazing things nowadays!

And, of course, God.

Holy cow -- I finally stroll on over here and here you are in a major crisis. I hope your mother gets more better PDQ and I'm glad to see she's off the ventilator. Those things are no fun at all, and pneumonia hurts. (So does your average heart attack.)

Please keep us posted, and be easy on yourself.
