Do You Haiku?

My friend and great Texas blogging hombre, T-Bone is creating haiku today. It is not nearly as hard as The Fool's double dactyls, but the water is not as shallow as you might think. Here for your evening (or morning for you early to bedders) pleasure are my meager attempts:

From a hidden lookout onto my garden:

Gripping small pistols
Chubby cheeks crammed with seeds
Bandit squirrels Rule!

In ode to The Herd in Cowtown: (The Herd is literally a herd of prized longhorns that the Cowtown Chamber of Commerce thought would be quite the tourist attraction and are paraded down Exchange Avenue daily in the Stockyards. The longhorns are paraded, not the tourists - but that is a matter of opinion)

Slow cow with long horns
Lumbering along the street
Does not like the bricks

Then, T-Bone goes and outdoes ole Pattie:

Twitchy cowboys ride
Yell for you to stand up now!
Longhorns get nervous

But, this one is THE BEST!

How I love Fort Worth
So much better than Dallas
Why even drive east?

So, readers, your contributions, please!

Syllable counting:
It seems even haiku are
Bigger in Texas!

Cordially,

These are cool! Thanks, all of you, for playing along! And, George, I probably should amend. You are no Fool!
