Took these photos the weekend before Halloween. Most were in Fredericksburg, a couple in Mason, and yes, I did get over exuberant with the gourd photos. They were amazing!
Great slide show. I was amazed at the creativity used in decorating the gourds. I especially liked the one with the big horn sheep going up a hill (or rock).
Once upon a time, you couldn't have afforded to retire in Fredericksburg - or anywhere Hill Country Texas. Now, with the economic fallout, prices have come down to at least a reasonable level.

One of my favorite towns! Had I stayed in Texas, I would have thought about retiring there.

It is beautiful countryside to be sure.
I liked the pic of the Schmidt-Gold house, I wish I could Schmidt gold, then I could move and retire!! LOL Love you mom
