Many thanks to AARP's very generous judges (Craig Newmark, Ronni Bennett, and Alejandra Owens) and to all my blog buddies for encouraging me to participate. This is the second fairly "Big Prize" I've won this year, and I am headed down at lunch to QuikTrip Mart to buy a wagon load of lotto tickets. On a roll and baby needs new shoes!
Which brings up the dire question - what to wear? I think all day at a convention pretty much means leave the Justin Ropers behind, but geez, it's almost required gear for a Texan. Do Texans wear Birkenstocks? The world is about to find out.

Just wear whatever is comfortable. No one will notice, anyhow. Be laid back and enjoy.
Why not go with the outfit you're sporting in your profile? Or at least the parasol?

One thing I have always been good at was recognising talent when I saw it and I told you a long time ago you has a special way with words. So...I will once again give myself a big pat on the back for being so astute. Oh, and I guess you did okay too with all those awards and free trips and such.
Seriously, congratulations! It really is a kick to see your talents gaining some well-deserved recognition!
as for dress....I'd pay for a "Dallas sucks" t-shirt if you'd wear it. Just a thought.
