I remember your Uncle Vernon from other posts you've written. That he left such a lovely impression on you and so many others is quite a legacy. Those final pictures of him are quite a revelation of their own. It's remarkable he lived the life he did, and had such an amazing posture to the end of his days. Kinda makes me straighten up thinking about him.
Pattie, your love for your Uncle Vernon came through so strong it made me a little weepy. Lovely post.
