Last Monday we returned from a four-day trip to the badlands of Texas - the Big Bend. I am working on a photo slide show to post, but here's a trio of teasers!
The photo was taken on a hiking trail to the Burro Mesa Pour Off - just off the Ross Maxwell scenic drive. The view is looking southwest towards Santa Elena Canyon, which you can barely make out on the mid horizon just beyond the sloping mesa, makes a little u-shaped dip on the horizon.
