Columbines In Aspens

Sunday afternoon at the local flea market - this little treasure from the past for twenty-five cents.

I love old linen postcards. Added bonus is to find a personal handwritten note on the back, but this one had never been postmarked.

I love all bits of stationary or cards from the past as well. This is totally lovely. I've never given columbines their due -- outside of their hearing I refer to them as 'toilet flowers' cause when I was a kid the trail to the outdoor biffy was lined with columbines that grew and bloomed though they were completely neglected. But I have never seen any as pretty as these. This pic is stunningly beautiful and I'm pleased you took the time to put it on display.

I play catch-up a lot these days Pattie; and it feels good to be here again. I love the postcard. I really didn't know what columbines looked like either...very nice. And, I relish old letters, postcards, whatever treasures such as these I can get my paws on. Wonderful.
