Yes, it happened in Texas. Austin, Texas to be exact. The sickening incident occurred between a mob of black people and two Hispanic men. And more ironic, it occurred during a neighborhood Juneteenth celebration. A celebration of emancipation.
Today Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement.
"Education and achievement" were not in big supply in Austin it seems.
The child, thankfully, was not seriously hurt. It was an accident as far as I know. The driver of the car that bumped the child had gotten out to be sure the child was okay. He didn't speed away or behave like a maniac.
Not to lessen the responsibility of the driver, but where were the adults who should be supervising this kid? I would bet you real money that this child and dozens like him were running wild and loose in the crowd.
Makes me wonder if the "new" American hatred for Hispanics has contributed to this level of violence.
It gives me an eerie remembrance of the Nazi persecution of Jewish people.

Oh, my Lord...this is horrible. His poor family. And he was just trying to help.
I read this in the paper last night and could not believe it. No how, no way.
Insanity!
