When Kman was in grade school, he used to pal around with a fellow young artist, Kerry Gammill. They would draw all sorts of monsters, create cartoon strips and generally act like the goofy kids they were. Kman and I went to junior high and high school with Kerry, never dreaming he would become such a well-known talent.
Kman lost interest in the monster genre, but not our friend, Kerry. Kerry went on to draw for Marvel and DC comics, among other endeavors.

I do believe I have some comics in my basement that were "pencilled by Kerry Gammill". Way kewl!
