Are you going to can the filling for pumpkin pie, or are you going to use it right away??

We have a family recipe so heavy on the seasoning that the pumpkin comes out dark when it's been cooked.

I hope you have lots of fun in the kitchen!

Yes, dear Buffs, those little golden orange beauties are sugar pumpkins for pies! Plan on making the pies either later today or tomorrow. I am searching for just the right recipe! Wanna share yours?

If you've got any pumpkins left over after making the pie, try making pumpkin soup. It's really good.

Mmmm, I have a great recipe for pumpkin carrot soup, but I'd pick pumpkin pie over soup any day. My recipe for the pie comes straight off the Libby's can...sorry not more help, but I have used it with fresh pumpkin before. Those little sugar pumpkins are fabulous!

Pumkin' Pie sounds good to me. Have cooked the big pumpkins, but never tried any of those little ones. Are they sweeter, better?

I use a pumpkin recipe with variations for my own taste (I don't like allspice in my pumpkin pie) from my Osterizer blender book from many years ago.

Around my house they prefer pumpkin bread to pie.

Oh Pattie, my mouth is watering. Let me know how the pies turn out.

Oooh, how were the pies? Soup, bread, pie, cheesecake... I love just about anything with pumpkin in it.

The pies, oh the pies!

They were fluffier than cotton candy, flakier than any pie-crust promise, and sent the lucky diner into "hog heaven for pumkin pie eaters".

That's how they were...

"Pumkin" ... I cudda sworn we said "pumkin," but maybe all those years everybody else was saying "punkin." Don't confuse me!
