"I'm All Booked Up" Mm Hmm Hmm, uh huh, yeah yeah

Bibliophiles everywhere should know about "Booked Up", Larry McMurtry's sprawling little bookstore in Archer City, Texas.

Shhh, don't tell - I have never been to Booked Up, but I plan to rectify that soon. Probably should treat my visit like going to Vegas, (speaking of which, doesn't THIS look like a blast?) leaving my credit card at home and taking x-amount of specified dollars.

Say, Archer City and Booked Up might prove to be a great meeting place for some Texas bloggers (as well as those "other" bloggers!). Or, heck, even that date in 2007 for Vegas could be a fantastic blogger meet up!

Nothing to do with a lifelong book habit or Vegas tripping, but certainly in keeping with tonight's silly ramblings, I am sitting at my new computer in our back bedroom (the TEXAS room, if you please) and through the pretty wooden slats of the blind, I see a full moon rising up through the branches of the crepe myrtle outside the bay window.

Quite picturesque and inspirational...I hear faint strains of Cat Stevens:

Oh, I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Leapin and a hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
And if I ever lose my hands, lose my plough, lose my land, Oh if
I ever lose my hands, Oh if I ever lose my hands, lose my plough,
lose my land I won't have to work no more.

Oh, I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Leapin and a hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...

And if I ever lose my eyes, if all my colours all run dry, Yes if,
ever lose my eyes, Oh if I ever lose my eyes, if all my colours
all run dry, I won't have to cry no more.

Oh, I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Leapin and a hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...

And if I ever lose my legs, I won't moan and I won't beg, Yes if
I ever lose my legs, Oh if I ever lose my legs I won't moan and I
won't beg, I won't have to walk no more.

Oh, I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Leapin and a hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...

And if I ever lose my mouth, all my teeth, north and south, Yes
if I ever lose my mouth, Oh if I ever lose my mouth, all my teeth
north and south, I won't have to talk...
Did it take long to find me? I ask the faithful light.
Did it take long to find me? And are you gonna stay the night?

Oh, I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Leapin and a hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow...
Moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow.

And on that lyrical note, I bid you adieu for the evening...
