Since the topic of Sherlock and other followers of the mysterious have popped up lately at TT, and here, I thought this little game would appeal to some of my readers. Actually, there are three games at this PBS site. I solved two on the first whack, and the other took me a couple of deductions. Must be losing my touch. More fun to do with Shockwave, so be sure yours is updated.
Another jewel from PBS and Mystery! are the made for television movies of Tony Hillerman's novels. I love a good Hillerman, and PBS has done a great job of book-to-movie adaptations. Although my mind's eye had Joe Leaphorn as a little different, Wes Studi captures the character's essence quite smartly with his interpretation. Of course, these series are produced by Robert Redford, so no wonder they are a success. I have visited the Navajolands that are the background to Hillerman's mysteries, and it is a delight to be able to travel to those places, see what he sees, and never leave the recliner. The places: Shiprock, Arches National Park, Chaco Canyon, Kayenta, Window Rock, or Monument Valley, are all tucked away in my mental storehouse and I can visit them again and again at will. I shall go back...and soon. I love those lonely places of beauty in the desert southwest.
Meanwhile, I can play this Hillerman Trivia Challenge. Hmmm, looks like I need to re-read a Hillerman or two. Such a chore...not!

hey! did I mention that I own pretty much every book Agatha Christie ever wrote? (about 80 or so) Other than that, I will read any murder mystery... my favorite thing to do.
Give me a good mystery, and I'm lost to the world... just ask Paul! Those little Gorey games were fun; I also solved two of three on the first try.
