Oh, and the artist is Jimmy Rogers - a fine southern railroad blues kinda guy. My PawPaw played Jimmy's songs on his guitar. I can still see him singing, and tapping his cowboy boot to the tune. Pistol Packin' Papa is another one of Jimmy's songs that my grandfather knew by heart. PawPaw was a Santa Fe Roadmaster once, later he chose a less strenuous role as a Motorcar track inspector. He rode the tracks from Santa Anna to Sweetwater, Texas and back in a big loop. A motorcar was basically a truck fitted with special wheels to use the railroad tracks. At least, in the 60's it was.
